Worst things that hurt your Missouri social security disability case

Often when reviewing a file for someone there are things that I see time and time again that are some of the worst things that hurt your Missouri social security disability case.

First (and one that I have written about numerous times) is failing to seek medical treatment for the medical or mental conditions you believe keep you from working. You must seek treatment and document your complaints period. Lack of funds for treatment will get little traction with the ALJ’s today unfortunately. (In this category I would also say being inaccurate in speaking with your doctor as well)

Second, continuing to work part time in a skilled occupation or physically demanding job. The ALJ’s will likely conclude that you could easily do a less skilled or physically demanding job.

Third, going to college or trade school even part time. The ALJ’s will likely conclude that if you can do school work, you could work in a job.
